Colin Delzant

cello

Colin is a collector. He collects the people he loves and who love him, stylish clothes, ugly ones too, the kilometers clocked on his bike, traditional melodies, rock riffs, and plenty of other useless things. He knows all the sous-préfectures and all the biathlon champions; he collects the landscapes he inhabits and the music that moves him. He's driven by curiosity, a need to learn from his soul-siblings and comrades-in-arms, among whom he navigates with friendship as his guiding star. This makes him our shared metronome, capable of uniting and steadying the fifteen members of the Marmite Infernale—as long as you take the time to watch his feet.

Since he also has hands, the cello allows him to wander through the sensitive slopes of all that has yet to find its place in his collection of favorite things—and when he improvises, he even forgets everything he doesn’t know yet.

He could easily have collected degrees and medals, but he chose instead to play with folk dance bands from Auvergne, Poitou, and Quebec (Ballsy Swing, la Bachule, l'Équipe, la Belle Ivresse). You can hear him playing very, very, very loud with Dordogne, slightly less loud with Sourdurent, and at a reasonable volume with le Chant de la Griffe.

At ARFI, he’s already part of Nosferatu, le Masque de Fer, and la Marmite Infernale. No doubt that collection will keep growing too.
