Pauline Laurendeau

comedy

Pauline is an actor—but that’s not enough for her. With an appetite for the absurd bordering on gluttony, she’s amassed a string of skills as sharp as they are useless: glove puppetry, cross-body movement, bird calls, radio jingle writing, doo-wop harmonies, electric bass, and—crowning her irrational pursuits—the synthesizer.

Pauline is a specialist in the improbable. Whatever the circumstances, she’s the woman for the job, standing tall in her boots. She embodies. Even when wedged into a full-body churro costume for a street performance, if a dog—fooled by her prolonged stillness—pretends to relieve itself on her dough, she doesn’t flinch. Because at that precise moment, Pauline Laurendeau is every bit a churro as Isabelle Adjani once was Camille Claudel.

Outside ARFI, Pauline performs a solo piece: Bonté Divine, and contributes to Janus (Le Grand Sbam), Caravane Karaoké des Rigoles, and Fara Del Hourya.

At ARFI, she brings her unique flair to La Nuit des Morts-Vivants and La Marmite Infernale.
