Tela Sonora Tour of ARFI in Brazil

2024

Brazil discovered Tela Sonora, a unique cine-concert blending electronic music and Brazilian animated short films, from June 17 to July 8, 2024.

Tela Sonora is an innovative fusion of electronic music and Brazilian animated short films. The ARFI collective artists, Xavier Garcia and Jérôme Lopez, created a musical work written in two parts (electronic and contemporary), integrating sound and cultural elements drawn from their research and collections of Brazilian indigenous chants from sound archives.

Together, they transcend the boundaries between electronic and contemporary music styles, creating a unique encounter between two artistic worlds.

A second part of the project features a series of video-mallet workshops, an audio-visual tool for live video and audio production. Led by Jérôme Lopez, these activities offer both an essence and a form that provide an original artistic approach, in connection with a specific audience, population, or territory. It is a crossroads between sound and visual art, collected stories, and digital creation.
