Seven artists pay tribute to the zombie film by imagining the soundscape of La Nuit des morts-vivants. Together, they rewrite a soundtrack for the film, performed live in its entirety and captured on this record: music, sound effects, voices, atmospheres, dialogues, and both illustrative and abstract sounds.
This album, following the eponymous show presented by ARFI, invites listeners into an imaginary space that is at once a dubbing booth, a foley studio, and a recording session for an original score. They will witness a sonic exploration that is both real and staged. This exploration involves creating a setup using musical instruments, of course, but also everyday objects that offer a wide range of sonic possibilities.
