Labyrinthe d’une ligne is an innovative album that blends live vocal performance, electroacoustic music, and a poetic text of the same name written by Lionel Marchetti. This project brings together four artists from diverse backgrounds: Xavier Garcia (sampler, processing, laptop), Lionel Marchetti (tape recorder, sounds, texts), Caroline Gesret (voice), and Laura Tejeda Martin (voice).
The artists adopt a style reminiscent of Pierre Schaeffer’s musique concrète, treating sounds as raw material for composition. Poetry serves as the foundation for the sonic exploration and manipulation that unfold during the performance. The text is read, spoken, sung, deconstructed, and reconstructed...
Their musical approach is rooted in the intuition of the moment. They embrace improvisation and make spontaneous creative decisions throughout their performance, freely manipulating concrete and electronic elements to craft a poetic and sonic tapestry.
