Led by Clémence Cognet (violin, vocals), Olivier Bost (trombone), and Clément Gibert (saxophone, bass clarinet), this album consists of fifteen tracks, each inspired by the fifteen cantos of Canto General, the epic poem by Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. This monumental work explores universal themes: the living and fertile earth, ancient civilizations, labor, love, and the freedom of peoples.

The album draws from multiple influences, including traditional music from Auvergne and beyond, as well as jazz and improvised music. Each track features a guest artist—or group—who had the creative freedom to reinterpret the trio’s compositions. These collaborations enrich and diversify the album’s sonic palette, giving each piece a unique dimension.

Guest artists: Alain Aubin (vocals), Cati Delolme (vocals), Damien Grange (vocals), Maud Herrera (vocals), Dylan James (vocals, double bass), Radek Klukowski (vocals, trumpet), Camille Lainé (vocals), Antoine Läng (vocals, jaw harp), Lisa Langlois-Garrigue (vocals), La Marmite Infernale (ARFI’s big band), Jessica Martin Maresco (vocals), Juliette Minvielle (vocals), Marie Nachury (vocals), Laura Tejeda Martin (vocals), and Guy Villerd (vocals).
