What if Orwell’s farm animals had recorded an album?
The album La Ferme des animaux is a sonic spin-off of ARFI’s musical theater production of the same name.
For this record, the animals imagined by Orwell (and many more) step into the studio to sing their states of mind.
There are those who take care of everything for everyone and those who focus only on themselves, those who panic and those who escape, those who dream and those who grumble, those who despair and those who carry hope to the highest peaks.
Mélissa Acchiardi and Guillaume Grenard, both multi-instrumentalists, are joined by around fifty guest artists, blending pop, grunge, medieval, rap, and guinguette influences into La Ferme des animaux, all set to lyrics by Ophélie Kern.
